On July 28th, 2011, Freeport LNG held a third open house meeting at its terminal administration building to update the public and stakeholders on changes and improvements to the proposed liquefaction project since February 2011. The open house meeting was again well attended; overall, about thirty-five visitors from Quintana and the wider Brazosport area participated.

Through the open house meetings Freeport LNG was able to present details about the proposed project and receive feedback from the public directly. Comments and questions provided by visitors who attended the open house meetings were greatly appreciated. For those who could not attend, the liquefaction project informational materials from the July 2011 open house meeting are now available here.

On February 2, 2012, an open house meeting was held in the Lake Jackson Civic Center for the proposed natural gas pretreatment facility to be located on the east side of County Road 792, about 0.7 miles northeast of Oyster Creek. The meeting was attended by over 210 visitors.
